Beetles are a symbol of transformation, metamorphosis, resurrection and rebirth. The ancient Egyptians were aware of this metaphysical aspect and held the Scarab Beetle in the highest regard. The Scarab Beetle is born in the dung and the adult beetle keeps rolling feces to feed the young ones, until one day mysteriously the little beetle discovers its pair of wings and takes a flight into eternity. The beetle is the creative element of Nature, which dawns the thought of evolution upon us. Like the new born scarab Beetle the human soul is trapped in this physical world, until the light of universal intelligence shines in abundance, the soul escapes into the light never to return, for now it is the light itself.
